SEMI-PERMANENT LIP TINT

Smudge proof, kiss proof, long lasting lip liner or lip blush

Have full, natural-looking defined lips and discreetly enhance your natural lip colour – or go bolder with a fabulous intense shade that gives the look of permanent lipstick. A unique permanent makeup lip treatment that achieves beautifully shaped and tinted lips. A super crisp border and an infusion of colour, giving you full, sensual lips 24 hours a day…effortlessly.

Lip tattoos may bring to mind the image of a fancy grande dame with permanent lip liner who never seems to actually fill in her lips, but the technique has been refined to achieve an ” is she born with it? ” blushing or tinting, a beautiful wash of sheer color across the entire lip. This super-natural, semi permanent cosmetic tattoo builds consistent color and defines your shape for fuller lips without filler and a more polished pout.

At Empire Clinic, we believe that the fundamental basis for a successful aesthetic procedure is an in-depth consultation with a skilled qualified practitioner to assess your needs and develop a bespoke personal treatment plan so that you achieve outstanding natural looking results.

HOW IT WORKS

Permanent lip liner and permanent lip tint is a safe and natural-looking alternative to the expense and daily routine of applying makeup upon waking in the morning and often times throughout the day. It is a state-of-the-art technique of permanently applying makeup via intradermal micropigmentation. The treatment utilises a single-use, disposable cartridge to introduce quality semi permanent pigments to the skin. These pigments are added to the lips to create anything from a natural, soft look in a nude colour to a dramatic bold colour that imitates your favourite lipstick. Properly applied by an experienced technician, permanent lip makeup can be more natural and realistic in appearance as compared to conventional cosmetics.

TREATMENT STEP BY STEP

Here is some essential information about the treatment and what to expect before, during and after your visit with us.

STEP 1

CONSULTATION

At Empire Clinic, nothing is more important to us than your health, safety and wellbeing. Carmen, our semi permanent makeup expert is medically trained and has 15 years of semi permanent makeup experience so you know you are in the best of hands.During your initial consultation, we discuss in depth what your wants and needs are and make a plan on how we can achieve that for you.

STEP 2

DURING YOUR TREATMENT

Your treatment will begin with a consultation in our clinic discussing the shape and the colour of your preference to ensure a first class result! Like all of our procedures, everything is discussed and pencilled in prior to starting to ensure that you have total control with the style, colour and shape of your lip enhancement. You have the option of whether you want a natural or dramatic result and pigments are custom blended to meet your requests. You are in complete control of your treatment. The permanent makeup process starts once the treated area is numb to maximise your comfort. Once your new permanent lip treatment is complete you will be given written information on aftercare and the healing process.

STEP 3

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

As there is no downtime you can enjoy your usual routine as soon as the treatment is over. The recommended aftercare should be followed for a week after your initial session to ensure good colour retention. A touch up appointment is advised 4-8 weeks later to further enhance your results.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does a procedure take?

Including the consultation, paperwork, and numbing time, the average length of time for one procedure is approximately 1.5- 2.5 hours. The second application is usually l hour or less.

How many applications are needed?

Semi-permanent makeup is a 2-3 step process with most clients requiring 2 sessions for optimal results. However, many of her clients are fully satisfied with just one application. If a second application is needed, it is scheduled 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure.

Will it look “natural”?

YES — It will look more natural than your own conventional make-up. Unless you tell somebody you’ve had it applied, they’ll never know. Empire Beauty specialises in “natural-looking” makeup and with an artistic eye will capture the natural beauty of the client.

I have great difficulty applying makeup. How will the permanent lip tint look?

Truthfully, it will look sensational. You have a choice of 3 treatments. Natural lip contour – subtly re-define the contour of your lips and even correct slight imperfections. Natural contour with partial lip tint effect – discreet contouring that defines your lips, with blush shading distributed partially through the lip to give the illusion of volume and a colour that’s in harmony with your natural colouring. Natural lip contour and full lip tint -saturates the lips with colour in a natural or intense shade. Subtly defines your lip contour and infuses colour completely throughout your lips

What is the healing period like?

Swelling and redness are typically moderate to high immediately after the treatment. For approximately 7 days following the procedure, your lips will appear dry and chapped and you will need to apply a thin film of ointment to the procedure site. During this first week, the colour is a lot more intense than the end result but will soften as the lips heal.

Does it hurt?

Very little discomfort is experienced during the procedure. The anaesthesia used is of a superior grade and is extremely effective. This can be applied as many times as it is needed to achieve painless results.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Semi permanent cosmetics are long lasting, however, over time, you will notice a gradual softening of colour occurring each year. Many women feel that this is advantageous, as they feel that their permanent makeup will age with them. “Colour boosts” are recommended yearly to those who wish to keep their permanent makeup looking as fresh as possible.

What are the contraindications?

If you are under 18 or pregnant you are not a suitable candidate for this treatment.
